Return & Refund Policy

Return & Refund Policy

Overview

All artworks sold are created and offered by CJ Miyamoto. Due to the nature of fine art, all sales are considered final, subject to the conditions outlined below.

Please read this policy carefully before completing a purchase.

Limited Edition Prints

  • All prints are produced in limited editions and include a Certificate of Authenticity.

  • Each print is made specifically for the buyer or released in strictly controlled quantities.

Returns & Refunds (Prints)

  • All print sales are final.

  • We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for prints due to:

    • Change of mind

    • Preference issues

    • Color variation between screens and physical prints

    • Minor handling marks inherent to fine art printing

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

A replacement or refund will be considered only if:

  • The artwork arrives damaged in transit, or

  • The wrong item was sent

In such cases:

  • You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery

  • Clear photographic evidence of the damage and packaging is required

  • No claims will be accepted after this period

  • After we receive the damaged or wrong order, a replacement will be shipped in:
    • 2 working days (for prints or wrong order)
    • 2 weeks (for originals - in case of damage)

Original Artwork (One-of-a-Kind Pieces)

Original artworks are unique, hand-painted works and are sold as collector pieces.

Final Sale

  • All original artwork sales are final.

  • No returns, refunds, or exchanges are accepted once the purchase is completed.

Presentation & Framing Disclaimer

  • Original artworks are sold as artworks only.

  • Any frames, mats, mockups, or staging shown in photographs are for illustrative purposes only, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the product description.

  • Framing, mounting, or display materials are not guaranteed unless clearly specified.

  • Minor variations in texture, surface, edges, or brushwork are inherent to original, hand-crafted works and do not constitute defects.

Purchasing an original artwork constitutes acknowledgment that:

  • The value lies in the original painted work itself

  • Presentation elements may vary or be excluded

  • Such variations are not grounds for return or refund

Exhibition Loan Clause (Original Artworks)

By purchasing an original artwork, the collector acknowledges that the artist may, on occasion, request the temporary loan of the artwork for museum, gallery, institutional, or curated exhibition purposes.

  • Any such request will be made in good faith, with reasonable advance notice.

  • The collector is not obligated to accept every request; however, refusal should be reasonable and communicated clearly.

  • If agreed upon:

    • The loan will be temporary

    • The artwork will be fully insured for its market value during transit and exhibition

    • All transportation, handling, and insurance costs will be covered by the artist or the exhibiting institution

  • No alteration, restoration, or modification of the artwork will be permitted during the loan without the collector’s written consent.

This clause exists to preserve the artistic provenance, exhibition history, and cultural value of the artwork, ultimately benefiting both the artist and the collector.

Copyright & Reproduction Rights

  • The purchase of an artwork (original or print) does not transfer copyright.

  • All copyrights, reproduction rights, and image usage rights remain exclusively with CJ Miyamoto, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • The artist retains the right to photograph, reproduce, publish, and exhibit the artwork for:

    • Portfolios

    • Exhibitions

    • Publications

    • Promotional and archival purposes
